Weekly Blog

Another week has zoomed by at BID HQ....here's a short round up of what's been happening this week.

We were proud to be helping and supporting at the NuL We Stand Together Festival and despite the rain it turned out to be a great success, with live music, yogathon, Hitmix Radio, Prize Bingo and a fabulous raffle there was lots going on.  Thanks to everyone that turned up, helped or donated it's looking like the figure that may have been raised could be between £8 - £10k - so a massive thanks to all involved.

In other news we attended the planting at Berkeley Court last week with the children from Edenhurst Prep, all the pupils enjoyed themselves and even our Ambassadors Sue and Rob got thier hands dirty with some digging!!

You may have noticed that our towns McDonalds is looking a litle different at the moment....that's because it is under-going a big refurb which will include a whole new kitchen, wifi stations for you to order your food from and tablets to keep the kids happy when you visit- the new store is set to be unveiled on 27th June - we cannot wait (we do love a Big Mac!)

#BID are excited that we only have 1 week left until The Homecoming Event.  The circus is set to arrive in NuL on Saturday 24th June with 5 different acts from around the globe join us for what is set to be a jaw dropping spectacular!  The artisan market is also back in town so come and browse the delights on offer up and down the Ironmarket.

Our new Manager Paul has had another busy week but hopefully you will soon start to see him out and about in the town, he is keen to meet the #bid area businesses, look out for his interview in The Sentinel shortly where you can read more about Paul's background.

Remember this is YOUR #BID and we would love people to get involved - the more the merrier so if you have a query, question, idea or a general gripe please contact our Support Officer Amy who will be happy to help - you can call or email on 01782 922712 or amy.williams@visitnewcastleunderlyme.co.uk

More #bidblog next week folks :-)
