About the BID

Newcastle under Lyme Business Improvement District was founded in 2015 after a successful ballot with local businesses within the Town Centre. BIDs are the fastest growing partnership frameworks seen in decades to support local Town and City partnerships.

Newcastle under Lyme BID has been created to deliver a range of projects which are categorised under three main objectives and delivered within the BID defined mapped area.  These can be seen in more detail by clicking here.

The BID is a not-for-profit company which is operated by a management team which is governed by a Board and works closely with other partner organisations to lobby, support and deliver a range of issues, projects and events.

The BID is funded mainly by a levy which is based on the rateable value of businesses within the geographical defined area, which can be seen by clicking here.
